Quick Spaghetti with Oil and Garlic

simple, delicious, classic Italian dish that’s ready in no time.

Ingredients:


8 ounces spaghetti


1/4 cup olive oil


4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced


1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)


Salt and pepper to taste


Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)


Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)


Directions:


Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.


While pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.


Add garlic and red pepper flakes, and cook until garlic is golden (about 2 minutes).


Stir cooked spaghetti into skillet, adding reserved pasta water as needed to make a light sauce.


Season with salt and pepper and garnish with parsley and Parmesan. Serve immediately.
